Wagwan homies and baddies! What's gooddd?
Missed me? Because I did.
*Relationship people should go and collect their greetings elsewhere*
How has it been the past few months? In the second half of the year? The 3rd quarter of the year, or perhaps this month? This country has been wilding, tbh. I remember when my guy used the word 'quagmire' to describe the state of the country some time ago, but look at what's happening now. I don't know if I should use a stronger word to describe the situation of the citizens in the country.
When the cost of living wants to take the living away
Am I here to motivate? I'm not sure. You know, it's difficult to tell someone to move out of a quicksand or even pull 'em out, when you yourself are stuck there. Do you get it? Especially if you're adulting in this country.

But shout-out to Creatives, Entrepreneurs, and everyone juggling everything together. I feel we tend to manage situations that we sometimes resort to a lot of positive thinking and "vivid" imaginations. Which is good, of course. But hear me out, you're just living illusions if you never make good sense out of those imaginations. Sit back and read that again. Slowly.
What do I mean?
A lot of times, we drown ourselves in our imaginations, we keep dreaming of things to do, and we keep ideating without actually making it happen. Weeks ago, I had a conversation with my friend, and we talked about how our minds have monologues.
This was the tweet that birthed the conversation.
You see I belong to the percentage of people that always have this inner monologue thing. In fact, I can be doing one thing, and be having a meeting with my staff in my head(it's why you'll find me talking to myself), yet I could be having a documentary. Some of us are like that. In your head, you're already married with a rich spouse, enjoying your honeymoon on an island in the Maldives or you're probably getting congratulated for being on the Forbes list, you know that sort of thing.
You have a multiverse of you doing different things.
I don't know about you, but I think people who fall into this category are smartass creatives. I mean, how can you as a creative not have this superpower? Please don't mind anyone who catches you engrossed in it.
IMO, these monologues help us work with our creative thinking. And sometimes, when we're overwhelmed with life, we tend to get lost in this imagination.
But there's a twist.
You see…
A lot of us would rather wallow in these thoughts and wait for the universe would align the stars for us. I mean, since God sees our hearts, it'll definitely happen. Then when it doesn't happen, we start to feel bad. Not realizing that most times, what we were just doing was building castles in the air. Instead of actually doing the work.

I believe God works with feelings, emotions, and thoughts. He understands. But none of that ideas or thinking would be a reality if we keep dreaming and not waking up to reality.
Is dreaming bad? No. Is imagination wrong, hell Nah!
But you would realize that you're just living in illusions if you don't get to work.
Am I guilty of this? Yes. Will I work towards getting myself to work? Why not? There's no point in wallowing in excuses or keep daydreaming when you know there's work to be done.
So, my homies and baddies, wake up from your dream. You've dreamt enough, it's high time you started living your dreams.
Finish what you've started. It's not over until it's over. I'll leave you with these words,
"Dear Artists, an idea without execution is hallucination.”

In other words, you're just being delulu if you keep living in illusions.
BTW, how have you been? What have you been up to? Let me know what you've been up to.
See you in my next newsletter.
Love and Magic,
Damdam.
P.S: Happy New Month.
P.S.S: Mary will soon give birth. Lol.
